The Annual Life Science Entrepreneur and Investor RoundtablesThe Entrepreneur and Investor Roundtables is a unique event designed to facilitate introductions, dialogue and connections between life science entrepreneurs and investors. This event provides early stage companies with an accessible first step into the capital markets while providing investors a first look at intriguing innovations. The Entrepreneur and Investor Roundtables event is well known for its iconic ‘speed-dating’ format. Each year, VC firms and Angel Investors listen to brief pitches from dozens of biotech entrepreneurs. The Entrepreneur and Investor Roundtables generate typical registrations of 150 to 200 people.
Pharma Partnering Day ProgramBayBio’s Pharma Partnering Day program provides pharmaceutical companies and high quality small therapeutic companies the opportunity to participate in targeted one-on-one meetings, providing unparalleled access to novel technologies for co-development. Partnering days with individual pharmaceutical companies will focus on no more than two therapeutic research and development areas, including specific technologies and stage of development. Venture SpotlightThe BayBioNEST Venture Spotlight, part of the BayBio Life Science Series, is a unique forum that allows investors to speak directly to entrepreneurs in a reverse pitch format. Investors have a platform to discuss their current interests, target markets, therapies and technologies, as well as the maturation level of investment targets. The Venture Spotlight also provides time for engaged discussion and networking.
Technology ShowcaseThe Technology Showcase Series is designed to bring researchers and industry together towards the goal of improving translational research. The Showcases give the life sciences community a sneak peak at the science within world class research facilities often before it is published or patented. These events are also a great opportunity to meet, interact, and develop relationships with Bay Area biotech financiers, industry executives, entrepreneurs, life scientists and legal professionals. Tech Showcases typically involve poster presentations and tours, panels with renowned industry leaders and a networking reception.
NEST WorkshopsNEST periodically provides life science start-ups and entrepreneurs with information on strategic, operational and financial resources, such as how to apply for SBIR/STTR grants, refining investor pitches, and other resource-specific workshops. |
